During the winter, things look and feel quite a bit different at the Marina. All the slips are empty and the ice begins to form. A variety of ducks, swans, eagles, and other water fowl occupy the empty slips. Contrary to most assumptions, Eldean Shipyard is very busy during the winter months. The service department is in full swing, as boats are repaired and maintained in preparation for the upcoming boating season. Next door at the Piper Restaurant, it is business as usual, although they do close on Sundays and Mondays. The Piper hosts many Holiday Parties during the winter.
